Meet Jasmine
Nice to meet you! I’m Jasmine, the artist. I'm a freelance illustrator based in Ottawa, Ontario. I have been drawing and painting since before I could talk! I'm a graduate of the Illustration and Concept Art diploma program at Algonquin College, as well as a graduate of the Ottawa School of Art's Portfolio Program.
You'll find all kinds of art on my page, but I've always had a special appreciation for portraiture. I am intrigued by and drawn to the occult, so you'll also find mystical and esoteric themes in my work. As a self-proclaimed audiophile, you’ll often see themes of music and or musicians in my work as well. I enjoy all kinds of mediums, but the majority of my work are digital illustrations made in Procreate! There is so much versatility to digital art without the mess and clean up that comes with its traditional predecessors, though, there’s a special place on my heart for each medium.
Over the years, I've had the honour of illustrating many custom family and pet portraits for the community which brings me great joy. I love the idea of personalizing pieces for people to hold special meaning to them and their loved ones through the magic of illustration.
When I'm not painting or drawing, I'm usually found rollerblading, playing guitar, or watching the worst reality TV shows known to man-kind alongside my rescue poodle.
